Similar to the service found on Google Cloud, provide a managed CloudSQL service to support things like PostgreSQL & MySQL. They would be priced by total storage size available, and have high availability configuration options just like AWS/GCP.
Upvoting this, but I'm in need to a NoSQL service - hopefully building out the infrastructure for one would make the other easier anyway.
This is a big thing that’s holding me back from moving my entire infrastructure from GCP to DO. We had previous issues managing SQL on bare metal, and these managed solutions are super convenient.
Seems like a good idea, that would be very convenient for SQL based applications.
Just to be clear, this would be a managed service and you wouldn't need to create a droplet for your CloudSQL instance. It's a separate SQL package that is run externally to your droplets that you can access from your droplets, just like https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/
You won't be notified about changes to this idea.
