Floating IP between datacenter necessary for configuring HA clusters .
If one node fails in one datacenter the virtual IP (floating IP) cand be automatically asigned to another cluster node in other datacenter location .
This would be difficult if not impossible to implement due to routing and BGP. The issue is that DigitalOcean advertises routes via BGP for entire subnets. They could move an entire subnet to another datacenter, but they can't move just one IP. They could perhaps have a subnet where all customers in that subnet are setup to handle their IP being moved at any time. Every customer/machine/ip in that subnet would have to be able to handle this.
Is this feature already planned?
I think this would be a nice feature!
Thanks for the suggestion, it's a good point.
