First off, your current boot times 40-60 sec is industry leading and really great.
I was testing hyper.sh which has insanely fast boot times but for Docker containers, and it got me thinking. What if DO could provision VMs this fast?
I have workloads that I would consider adding to DO if the boot speed was faster. Are there any tricks left to speed up droplet creation? For example:
1. Pre-create VMs and have them sitting idle waiting for final provision
2. Hypervisor changes
3. Hardware changes (NVMe / RAM stored boot volume)
4. Extra resource allocation during boot to increase boot speed
