Add West Coast or maybe better central United States region/data center

I'm in San Diego. Not sure if it would really be that big of an issue but I know there are a ton of developers in San Francisco that I would like to be my users and it seems like it would be more ideal if the data center wasn't quite all the way across the country.

I'm interested in switching to Digital Ocean, however, I don't want an east coast server. Central US would be ideal, west coast would be acceptable.

Great idea, let's setup some hypevisors in people's homes and crowd source the Cloud =]

You can migrate by taking a snapshot of a virtual server and then launching a new one from that snapshot in a different region.

    Will datacenter migration be available?

We are in talks with our colocation provider to find out about new locations, we are hopeful that they will have something that we can plan for around March, at least that was the latest we heard from them.

If they can have an Asia region ready by Q2 we will move there first, if not it will most likely be a west coast region in Q2 - start of Q3.

John: As for a tutorial on mirroring let us know a few more details on the stack / configs you are running and we can get something written up.

I look forward to the West Coast addition. Hopefully with a nice tutorial on mirroring our servers at both locations (hint, hint).

Where in Asia? Singapore? Any plans to do in India?

I'd personally love to see deployments available in Chicago or perhaps Dallas; of course, Asia is a welcomed addition as well.

Would Really like a West Coast like California. Chicago is more MidEast :P

Our plans for phase 1 build out are: East Coast (NY1), West Coast, Europe (AMS1), and Asia.

Then we will most likely focus on South America and adding additional points based on where the highest demand is.
