I think would be helpful to me, when i setup a server droplet, when finished just "freeze" it as a custom template of mine. So when I'd like to start a new one, I'll start from that in just few clicks.

That could be done starting from existing Snapshot, for example. Or that could be done if backup could be manual and not just automatic.

But I read in other comments that in future it will be possibile download images. If that means that i can next re-upload them, that could just make it...

    Sorry I am a new user, I thought that snapshot were just to recover an existing machine, I didn't tried. This is great!

    This feature is already available.

    After you have setup your base OS how you like just take a snapshot of it and then you can create new virtual servers using this snapshot so you won't have to go through the process of setting it up again.

    Snapshots are available in the new droplet creation menu under the "My Images" tab.
