Become a cloudflare hosting partner

I'm not aware of all the benefits or costs of you becoming a cloudflare hosting partner but apparently it means we will get access to the Railgun feature which is usually reserved for sites on the premium business package. Railgun is a seriously cool and useful tool for dynamic websites:

I think as coldflare becomes more ubiquitous for website owners, this will be a highly attractive feature!

    Still no solution?

"GATHERING FEEDBACK", what feedback is still needed. Cloudflare Railgun is supported by many hosting providers, except DigitalOcean. Any ETA of supporting it?

No update on railgun? This is really good feature. And I was also searching for a way to use vanity name servers of cloudflare when hosting on digitalocean.

Why 2.5 years of "Gathering Feedback"? Is there some reason not to do this? Free for DO, huge benefit to customers... seems a no-brainer.

This would be huge... any update? The only other option is ESI and Railgun blows that away in simplicity for devs in initial implementation and upkeep. Please get this going as a way of saying thanks to your loyal customer base :)

Hey DO, any update on if this is going to go ahead and any timelines?
    Thanks!

Just wanting to add my support for this as well.

It plays a big role in my decision making when choosing hosting company. Railgun is incredibly powerful and costs nothing to the hosting company when they are partnered.

This would be a huge boost and a marketable partnership. It would make it so that you could have your application hosted in one of DO's datacenters but effectively have a presence in dozens of datacenters around the world almost as if your dynamic application were being served from right near the end user.

Hosting companies get cloud flair for free. With railgun at no cost to them. However companies like Amazon and Rackspace have deals where the customer only has to sign up for the $20 a month plan not get $200 a month plan and they have access to railgun it would be a smart decision

If you're going to be hosting more than 3 websites, you could simply apply to become a CloudFlare Optimized Partner yourself.

Great to hear progress is being made!

When shopping for hosts, I do weight in heavily if the host is a CloudFlare partner. For me, it is mostly for caching (& temp backup in case I go down), but seems they are helpful for security also.

    cheers

We're in the process of building out our analytics with the first phase completed which is collection.

The second phase will be display.

And the third phase will be monitoring and alerting on those metrics, so as we make progress on that we can revisit this issue.

    Thanks

Edit: ok so to get railgun requires DO to become an Optimized Partner, apparently with little or no upfront costs other than installing a piece of software on one of the DO servers.
