Drop the free trial

With your pricing ($0.007/h) and coupon codes there are no need for a free trial. Free trial is only extra head-ache for everyone.

It might have been good for advertising in the beginning but you have enough good customers now to promote you. It now time to focus on them and evolving the platform, not fiddeling with the free trial and the problems that comes with that crowd.

We've moved away from offering free trials as it was causing a large number of issues in regards to abusive and fraudulent users.

We've updated the copy on the front-end, ads, and the CP to reflect this.

TBH I think the free trial was a great idea -- it's what got me to sign up (I now have four small VMs running!). I like the other idea better, of just making sure trial users aren't on the same hypervisor as paid users... so there's a chance some trial users might get a bad impression if some trial twit on the same HV as them manages to bugger things up totally, but said twit at least won't be affecting the already-paying users... and most trial users would still have the same great experience I did, and upgrade :)

If you moved in that direction, should the issue be closed?

    Hi Christopher,

We agree with you and are going to move in this direction.
