MX records for subdomains

Right now, MX records in DNS can only be created for the domain as a whole. I'd like to be able to add MX records for subdomains.

i.e.:

example.com MX 1 mail.example.com
sub.example.com MX 1 otherhost.example.com

I confirmed that the work around works.

Just add a "domain" called "subdomain.domain.com" and setup your MX record there. =]

I run PowerDNS on my main droplet, that handles all of my sub-domains.

I also would very much like this. +1

I think you can try a work around by adding the subdomain as the domain itself for example add to DNS:

    domain.com

    Then create another new entry:

    sub.domain.com

And then you can modify the MX records there, let me know if that works.

    Thanks!

Is this going to be implemented soon? Currently a huge blocker, as no inbound email parsing can be done with in.domain.com (or using services like Mandrill, SendGrid, etc)
