Limit bandwidth usage at peak times

Basically, yes its nice having access to a tier one connection but I'm getting super slow speeds at peak times and super high speeds when its like 3 am, I think that you should limit people on how much speed they can actually use and let them buy increased speeds, or at least make the lower end machine have a limit on the speed so then people don't register just to DDoS or something and use up all the bandwidth, I'm monitoring my speed with some application and I'm getting from 385 bytes to 2MiB... And I'm downloading from a premium dropbox account so I doubt its there servers

Oops I see this one was marked "completed" so I will open a new ticket for the QoS stuff.

For me, I get about 3.1-3.3 MB/s download speed (consistently, doesn't seem to matter time of day?) and 10 MB/s upload speed (limited by my own local connection). It does feel as if it would be nice to have some kind of QoS so that we could get more bandwidth from each node.

    Hi Shaun,

Please open up a ticket if you are having issues with your download speeds and we can review if you have VirtIO enabled which should improve your network performance.

    Thanks!
