Email forwarding

I need to forward emails using my domain to any other valid existing e-mail addresses.
And even create a "catch-all" email address that will forward any mail sent to my domain that does not have a valid e-mail address to an e-mail address of my choice.
I know that some providers do it using their dns servers, without installing mail servers for every client.

    You would need to install and configure a full MTA on your droplet if you want to process your own email:

    > *@domain.com -> forward_here

    Could you tell more about this

    If you setup postfix or any other mta you can specify a catch-all email address:

    *@domain.com -> forward_here

    Any defined email will be delivered to the specified inbox and anything else will be forwarded.

    We do not provide email services only DNS resolution.

    Thanks

    Of course gmail will not accept emails from my domain (I do not use Google Apps). And therefore the changing mx records to gmail will not work.
    I'm sorry for external link, please read about email forwarding here:

    If you already have an existing gmail account you would need to check if gmail supports the option of accepting emails from other domains. If it does then you can just click the Add Gmail MX records in the DNS settings.

    If instead this domain has its own gmail already setup just clicking the Add GMail MX records will take care of it.

    I have installed iRedMail as described here
    https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-iredmail-on-centos-6-3-x64
    But iRedMail does not have such option.

    I want to forward all emails for my domain to my account on gmail. How can I do it?

    That would require the setup of a mail server, we do not handle emails directly and only provide DNS services.

    Of course I say about domains on your droplets.

    If you have an existing mailserver setup somewhere that is setup to *@* forward the email to another location you can just add that server's IP / domain as the MX record for your domain.

    So if you have a domain like mailforwarding.com that is already setup to forward *@* then you can add to your new domain.com:

    10 MX mailforwarding.com

    And that should take care of it.
