    Admin Response

We recently made a number of changes to the design of our control panel. This included some UI improvements to the DNS section. Among other things, a save button was added in order to make it more clear when a change is persistent. Thanks for all the feedback.

Can we get a general 'save' button instead of save button per zone record? Current UX is very annoying.

The addition of separate Save buttons next to each zone record was not an "improvement", unfortunately. I hope this is being reviewed.

When I need to edit all the DNS records, I have te modify them one by one instead of changing several records and press a single Save button.

Warn if exiting the page with changes unsaved - easy
Or save the "draft" mode and allow to restore the pending unapplied changes later - hard

To need to search support in order to know how to save a record is bad UX. You have failed the user with pretty aesthetics.

I'll take the clutter of a save button over something that I don't understand and wastes my time.

The current DNS edit page does not look like a typical web form. Not everyone will know that they can edit the entries by simply hitting the Enter/Return key.

This is a must. If you have to "hope that it wouldn't be too confusing", then it's too confusing. I had to look *here* to find out how to save a DNS update, and that's not good enough.

You can save your changes by pressing the Enter key, on your keyboard.

Interesting - I have been working with the DNS records for the last week, and I hadn't got this ability to change a record and then press return to save it.
Very nice now that I see its possible.
I guess there could be a hint of the screen that it is editable in someway.
For the A records IP number it would be nice to have a menu of select able IPs.

Moisey Uretsky - form should always follow function.

I find it difficult to believe you would leave out a feature that is confusing to users because of aesthetics!

Is there scope to add a simple message or maybe a small message the first time you go to the DNS management page?

    This is not intuitive!

I even figured it out two weeks ago, but when I went to edit DNS records today, I had forgotten how to do it. Please add a Save button.

We went back and forth on this particular feature extensively when putting it together.

We tried adding a button that would make it clear to hit save but it really added a lot more clutter so we defaulted to just the enter and hope that it wouldn't be too confusing.

If we receive more up-votes on this we'll take them into account and look to modify it.

No, but still save or update button will make all clear

Have you tried pressing enter when your cursor is in the textbox of the IP/Dns record?

When you edit a row just push enter and it will get saved - but we should probably make this more clear.
