It is interesting for having a production instance and a testing instance.
If you could clone the production instance, you can make upgrades in the cloned instance.
Kamal, I know that, but as I've written in the question, I mean to a 1-click solution, and sadly we don't have that now.
I think a ready button like "Clone droplet" could help save time and redundant clicks in creating new droplets with the same characteristics.
The new droplet will have another IP of course.
Think of it, just 1 single click from the droplet quick-menu instead of 4-5 clicks...
You can always take a snapshot, but you will have to turn off the machine, the ideal thing would be hot cloning i think.... just a simple button, CLONE, and a new identical machine within 60 seconds... if DigitalOcean does that, i will marry any one on your staff!

You can take a snapshot of an existing droplet and create a new droplet off of that snapshot so it's a clone of your droplet. :]
