DO Ideas 2

Email notification when credit drops below: $ XX

It seems to me a good idea to enable email notifications when the credits amount drops below a certain amount, that the user selects, e.g. $10

Also it would be great to add credit status to "Basin" for android. This way any upleasent surprises, because of low credits, will be avoided.

    Admin Response

We are releasing a new feature today which is called billing alerts. Customers will be able to specify an amount of usage per month and if your usage exceeds that amount you'll get an email notification. We did it off of usage instead of credits as many customers pay by Credit Card and don't have any active credits and instead their credit cards are charged at the end of the month. But this way you have control over your monthly spend and are notified whenever it begins to exceed that amount that you can set. Thanks, Moisey

I agree that the "solution" you provided does not really solve the problem described. I want to know when the credit is too low, not when the fixed-cost droplet eats more than X bucks.

This issue is not "completed". I don't care about monthly usage because it stays more or less the same. I pay via PayPal to avoid credit card fees and don't want to check every x days how much credit I have left. The feature you introduced is not related to THIS suggestion. If you don't add a billing alert for a credit threshold, please add a way to obtain the current credit via the API instead.
