    Admin Response

The backend team has put in a ton of work to rewrite the entire DNS service behind the scenes. After testing it in conjunction with the existing DNS service they've shipped it to production and we've written a blog post about all of the updates to the new system: https://www.digitalocean.com/company/blog/coming-to-port-53-near-you-new-digitalocean-dns/ Now updates are almost immediately (within 1-3 seconds) merged out to our DNS servers and synced across all of them. Thanks, Moisey

Fernando, are you referring to changes within Digital Ocean's own internal DNS or what's exposed to the internet? I haven't yet used the DNS feature here, but DNS naturally has a cached lifetime. If you know that your records are set to 30 minutes TTL, why even bother to check every 2 minutes? Just come back in 30+ minutes. Wouldn't that make more sense?
