The current droplet setup has an artifically low inode limit. Bytes-per-inode should be 4k, not 16k. 1.3m is the current file limit.

A normal 4k bytes per inode would allow for 5m+ files on the 512mb droplet.

    Many moderately successful sites using file based caching (nginx) would hit the file limit even on the $80/month droplet.
