Allow DNS records for subzone delegation

It would be great to be able to use subzone delegation.

For example, if you need a seperate nameserver to handle DNS lookups for a specific subdomain only. There are a lot of cases where this is useful.

I want to move away from my current provider (Linode), but I'm unable to add NS records for a specific subdomain - only for the whole domain.

Maybe add a second text box when adding an NS record, labelled 'subdomain'?

You can do this by adding the "subdomain" as a domain to the dns manager. So you can add as a domain "subdomain.domain.com" and then update the records for it there and they will be inherited. Thanks!

But how can I delegate such subdomain zone to some digitalocean droplet to make it able to manage the zone dynamically using it's own DNS server?

So, subdomain delegation is still highly desired!

    So, +1

Subdomain delegation will be very useful for fast service discovery systems like SkyDNS
Unfortunately DO DNS API can't be used for it, because have fixed 1800s TTL and limit of updates.

It would be awesome if this feature could be added! +1
