Add Alpine Linux as a base image

http://alpinelinux.org/

I've been using this lately at home and it seems like a great option due to its size and scope.

There are instructions on github for how to replace Debian on a DO droplet with Alpine: https://github.com/bontibon/digitalocean-alpine
    76 people have starred it.
People are clearly interested in using Alpine on Digital Ocean.

Also, Alpine is the de-facto OS for the fast-growing DevOps ecosystem (Docker) ..

+1 - really, DO should have a vested interest in supporting minimalist OS'es like Alpine. Less resource consumption and overhead for the entire DO ecosystem means a leaner, meaner DO to compete against other VM providers.

Absolutely love alpine. I am using it as the main Docker host for many projects at my clients.
Having it available as a DO Droplet would be awesome!

We use this as the base of all of our Docker containers and it would be nice to have only one set of "stuff" to remember. Containers on Alping with debian or ubuntu underneath is annoying 'cause you have to remember which context you are in all the time and memorize (or look up!) two sets of locations/commands/package managers etc.

It's great both as a lightweight base OS and as a base image for e.g. Docker container + it has a security focus, which makes it a great OS for any server application. The setup that I'm particularly envisioning is Alpine as a Docker host running Alpine-based Docker containers, which is a great way of building fast, low-resource and scalable applications. Also, people have gone as far as inventing methods of installing Alpine on Do using the rescue console, so that shows that people really, really want it.

We should really have this. It's becoming the de facto OS to work with Docker!
