    A chatting system will go a long way in resolving situations that require urgency. I understand that there might be some constraints as regards operating one, but it's by far the best alternative to an online real-time service provider like Digital Ocean. Its nauseating that you're only left with a support ticketing system when critical online services might be down and customers screaming on your head because of downtime.

    As much as I like the product on the contrary I hate the support channel. One of my machines was affected by DDOS and it was down since yesterday, as you don't have a chat system and all communication is done via tickets, it has been 2 days and I have still not able to resolve the issue and has costed ton's of my time sending and receiving updates through tickets. You need to improve your service and I am not sure if you will take this seriously, i just thought of giving you my feedback.

    I would pay for phone/chat support on a per incident basis.

    I very much support this! I love the service with support tickets, but it feels a little slow (it's not). This morning I had an urgent issue where I had to upgrade my servers because of more use than anticipated. I was quickly helped through the ticket system, but was very hesitant at first. A ticket gives the feeling of "we'll get back to you inbetween now and a few days".
    Besides that, great stuff!

    Chat would be nice as an option for critsit incidents. If resources are an issue, then maybe it could be limited to server down issues (not initial config or non-crit questions).

    I'm happy with digitalocean services, but it could be great if we have live support apart from raising tickets

    you guys really need chat or phone support or inquiry etc. people don't have time to wait and search for your contact and email then wait for answer. rest of thing up to you guys.

    With a pay of USD 10, it would be VERY workable for many of us, if we paid a symbolic pay per support phone / skype call. Really, anyone will understand that for USD 10, you can't get both service and support.

    I propose that you charge something like USD 1 per support call (where we call or skype you), and then you charge like USD 6 per effective hour. of support. That way it will never be abused, and it would add fairness too.

    If you now do it such that for instance an email answer is USD 3, a chat session is USD 1 per every begin of 10 minutes, and HOTLINE direct support is maybe USD 1 per 5 minutes, then I think we will all have a good time together.

    In terms of payments, I propose that those who would like support, deposits ie. USD 50 or USD 100 on a support pre-pay account - which can then give a little discount - and if they only want to pay per support, you charge ie. USD 20 upfront and refund remainder after support has been given.

    Digitalocean support is really disappointing. i created my account and it got locked and for every message i send them it takes 24hrs for them to reply :(

    You can fix this yourself most of the time by going to settings and clicking on your current limit.

    This will ask you if you want to increase it.

    Depending on the increase and how long ago your last increase was you may need to log a support ticket

    To both posters about the droplet limit error they are receiving. This is not a forum where your questions for the DigitalOcean support team are going to be answered. This is a forum for new ideas on how to make DigitalOcean better from the voice of their customers. I would say there would need to be more transparency about this error, but I've never personally experienced it.
