Offer EV SSL Certificates via API and DigitalOcean Cloud

It would be awesome if DigitalOcean customers could roll out EV SSL (single, multiple domain and wildcard) certificates from the API and DigitalOcean Cloud panel. Too many people do not use SSL on their servers because of the cost and complexity of issuing SSL certificates. Being DigitalOcean is great at making things affordable, it would place SSL into the hands of all DigitalOcean customers. Additionally, it would compliment the increasing number of DigitalOcean community tutorials that require SSL certificates.

It looks like the Mozilla Foundation is working on a way to add free SSL certs to websites:

If that is what it says it is, then I think things should become much easier soon.

Surely it would be impossible to do this for current servers via the API as Digital Ocean do not have access to the servers?

Furthermore there are a very limited amount of Extended Validation Certificate Authorities, and it is not possible to make your own EV CA and add them to stock browsers. Perhaps it would be a good idea for DO to offer cheap standard SSL certificates, however I can imagine they have higher priorities.
