Offer 2-factor auth without QR code

I haven't found an authenticator app for my Firefox OS phone that can scan QR codes. Please provide the secret code printed on screen below the QR code.

We've made this change and announced it as part of an update to 2FA today. Changes include optionally displaying the code for devices unable to scan the QR code. You can check out the changes in the Security section of Settings or read more about it here: https://www.digitalocean.com/company/blog/updates-to-digitalocean-two-factor-authentication/ Thank you for the feedback!

The oathtool command line tool can be used as an alternative to running the Google Authenticator app on a phone, which not everyone has handy to their computer. It needs the secret key in base64 form.

The workaround for this is to use a barcode scanner on your phone to decode the QR code shown on your computer screen, then transcribe the shown key to a secure location (like a password safe) where it can then be used with other OAth tools.
