DO Ideas 2

Please offer Void Linux as a distribution option.

Void Linux is a lightweight independent distribution created around a powerful and fast package manager called XBPS. It supports x86, x86_64, and ARM. Coupled with Void's blazing fast init system RUNIT, and Digital Ocean's blazing fast SSDs, Void Linux might be a perfect option for Digital Ocean customers.

Void can make a good base for just about anything which I think will fit in well with the droplet system an user expectations, Those who were sad to see Arch Linux leave Digital Ocean may find Void Linux as a great alternative. Void feels surprisingly solid for a rolling release distro and I have only run into very minor issues (mainly with graphical utilities such as network manager applet) since I started using it 5 months ago. So please look into it. I promise, your time will not be wasted.

Still waiting for something that isn't based on systemd to become available... ho hum, over 3 years later and no movement on this. Void would be great...

I would be happy to help with this, having a strong familiarity with Void Linux.

EDIT: There is a official Void rootfs image which might be a good route for creating a droplet image.
