Allow team accounts for accountants

It would be extremely handy to have the ability to allow an accountant to access the billing portion of the account only to view or download invoices or make billing changes. The owner, should be able to set which parts this accountant would have access to do.

The alternative is to have an option to automatically email invoices in PDF to a designated email address.

    Admin Response

We released some updates to Teams including a new Billing role that cannot make changes to resources but can manage billing information and payments. Here is a link to the announcement: https://www.digitalocean.com/company/blog/teams-work-better-together/ We hope this helps. Thank you for the feedback, please keep it coming!

Allow account holders to assign an alternate billing contact email address to receive monthly invoices.

Forwarding the email doesn't work for my organization because it only has a total, no official invoice. It would help if Digital Ocean can support emailing of PDF versions of the invoice with complete company headers. At the moment, I have to log in each time I receive the email notification, download the PDF invoice, and then notify my bookkeeper. Many of my other vendors simply fire us a PDF invoice to an email address that I specify which goes directly to my accountant / book keeper, but I have a separate email address for login.

Automatic email to the owner and to an alternate email is fine for us

I would like to name a team member to be the contact person for any billing related stuff (invoices etc.). I always have to forward so things manually to our accountants' department. Instead I would prefer, when this person gets this stuff automatically.

For us the administration staff should be able to follow up on billing without someone from infrastructure having to forward the emails regarding billing.
Using a forwarding rule is a good workaround for now, but not a solid solution.

The idea makes sense although why not a rule in Outlook/Thunderbird/Gmail that forwards the email based upon a particular subject string?

I am a small company and I have an external bookkeeper. I'm trying to free up some of my time to keep to the important things. I would like the invoices to send to an email address that goes to my bookkeeper. this may not seem like a lot of time, but it really does save my email from getting things that I'm not concerned about and eliminate noise in my email.

separate billing access or additional billing email notifications that can go to a separate email from the account email address.

Our company has staff in charge of our books/accounting who need to receive receipts, however they should not be given full access to the account to create/modify services. They should only be able to view billing information.
