Easy colocation

Product that would allow for easy colocation setup for global websites. For example I would like to open a droplet and select different locations (EU, USA, ASIA). I would like to setup droplet only once and just select at which locations the same copy would exist in sync. Load balancer should be set to route the users to the closest location automatically.

You can already get something close to this. Using a CDN like Cloudflare, your visitors will get all static content loaded from the closest source to them, instead of your web server setup. This is however not a true web server approach where you have replicated system all over.

The most used approach for this would be a standard HA setup (app servers, load balancers, databases, storage), and work your way out from there. Replicate the setup in all the wanted zones, configure some way to access and keep the database and storage in sync. The site to site load balancing would happen on the DNS level or something. I've only heard about master/slave multi-site being used, which usually have a very low TTL on the DNS, then manually or programmatically switchover in case of a site failure, but I'm sure there are ways to balance this. I have not done the research for geographical balancing, but CDN's do it with static content, so I'm not too intimidated by it
